The Creeping Ivy
The Creeping Ivy would be a variant of the skeleton found in jungles, similar to husks, strays and drowned. The design has flowers and other foliage infesting it’s insides, giving it a strange and disgusting look. It has two ways it can attack players.
In its normal appearance, it behaves like a regular skeleton, the difference being that it shoots Poison Arrows from its bow. It tries to keep its distance and even hides behind blocks whenever it can, though only when it’s attempting to sneak attack players. The Creeping Ivy only ever spawn with leather or chainmail armor, and has a variant.
The Creeping Ivy can spawn holding a spear. It’s far more aggressive than the bow variant, and tries to get up close and personal, close enough to use a strong attack.
Upon death, it can drop:
- Bones
- Moss block
- Damaged bow (30%)
- Poison tipped arrows (15%)
- Damaged spear (10%)
The spear does less damage than a sword does, but has more range. It can’t be thrown, but has its own special ability. You can perform a pole vault, in which you jump farther and higher than usual. This can be great for movement, but be aware that the Creeping Ivy can also use this in its attacking pattern to get the jump on you.
The spear also has its own enchantments, commonly found in jungle temples.
- Elasticity Enchant (goes up to 3) allows you to go higher with the Pole Jump
- Poison Tip Enchant (goes up to only 1) allows you to poison your enemy (can only be used on spears)
