From what I saw in Minecraft Live 2021, the mangrove forest seems to be lacking the ambiance of the one showed in the concept art. I think making the trees in this biome a bit bigger (not as big as jungle and mega taiga trees) will create that illusion of being powerless alone in nature. This change will also contribute on making the roots a lot bigger for people to get through and branches to be more clustered just like in real life in which sometimes it can block an amount of sunlight just like the dark oak forests but with its branches rather than leaves.
