Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Jars! A new bottle type

 With the Wild Update now being worked on, I believe there's room for something to help keep it wild. 
So, introducing: Jars! 
Jars are not something to replace bottles, or to be a direct upgrade. They are their own thing, and do their own stuff.

  • Right clicking fireflies with a Jar will give you a Firefly jar, which can be placed. These give off light when in the dark! This also allows you to transport fireflies.
  • Of course, you should be able to place it without anything in it. Empty jars when placed can hold cookies and other specific foods!
  • If any new fruits are added to the game, you could combine different fruits with a jar to create Jam. This would replenish hunger, and give a minor bonus to life regeneration (as fruit is very healthy.)
  • Finally, my favorite detail. Combining different elements from a biome can give you a Biome Jar; or in other words, a Terrarium. This will show off this biome in decoration form! Imagine combining sand, water, and coral to create an Ocean Terrarium. Or, flowers and grass for a Plains Terrarium! It can be a reward for exploring biomes to their fullest, showing off your Biome Jars.

    I hope you enjoy the idea of jars as much as I do. I truly think they'd be a great addition to the Wild Update!

    Even though I completly agree, I think the terrarium part might be a little much for the devs for ths single feature (even though it would be awesome!). 

    But minecraft really needs more glass containers other than bottles, and it would be so fun to be able to put them down like blocks!

    Personally, I think this would be a great addition to the wild update especially the firefly jar! It would be amazing to have something like a transparent chest. Also it could be used as a transparent bucket- so you could have jars of fish?
