Currently, not only is there a lack of parity between item dyeing mechanics in both versions of Minecraft, but both of these methods to me are undesirable. In Java, you can only dye white items and there is no way to change the color again, which while logical is also impractical. In Bedrock, you can recolor any item any color, which is practical but illogical.
Thus, I propose the addition an item similar to Education Edition's bleach be added to the game, which would turn any dyed object back to white, which could then be recolored any other color. This would be the perfect balance of logic and practicality and would add another aspect of parity between the two versions.
