Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Bamboo Wood Blocks

Bamboo grows like crazy, but its uses are limited (Scaffolds, sticks, or fuel for furnaces (sometimes)). I think it'd be great to be able to take 9 bamboo and combine them into a single bamboo wood or bamboo plank. Yes, it would take a lot of bamboo to get a good amount of wood, but given how fast bamboo grows, I think it'd be worth it.

    thatd be so cool. the block could be green and look like it had multiple pieces of bamboo vertically side by side as well

    This I do agree with!  As IRL, bamboo is a source for which furniture is made from.  I know that the craft recipe that you have stated would be ideal.  But we could also use the planks to make the other variants that the other woods offer.  This would also be a light color wood that could create the color gradiant that is lacking between the birch and oak coloration.  

    It is unfortunate that bamboo only has the limits that it currently has for Minecraft.  Bamboo could actually be a great source to utilize for so much more.  Wood, in my opionon, would be the ideal start.

    I rather like that idea too, also with the fact we now have aging blocks, could be fun to 'age' the bamboo and we can have green or age it to a deeper chestnut or other warm color.

    Instead of this to be crafted with bamboo, pls use dried bamboo (bamboo smelted in a furnace) as it would make more sense seeing the colours
