When a Glare finds a dark area, it should paste a temporary light source.

Glare behavior is weird. Why do they want to be grumpy? If they don't like dark areas, why do they go there?

It would make more sense if they were able to banish the darkness, just a little bit, and only on a temporary basis.

So your pet Glare finds a dark spot that it doesn't like and flies over there to hang out there? But it shouldn't just stay there and be grumpy; it wouldn't go over there if it didn't have a reason to go against instinct.

Maybe what it should be able to do is mark a nearby block with a temporary light source, like luminescent paint. The light level wouldn't be any better than a glow lichen or a redstone torch, but the light level would be sustained as long as the Glare was nearby. When the Glare moves on, the light source fades away slowly to nothing.

Maybe the Glare can make the nearby stone glow brighter if there's certain kinds of ore nearby?

    This would make the Glare worth voting for, especially the part about helping finding ores. Unfortunately the vote is tomorrow and it will lose.
