The Glare was just added to this year's Minecraft Live Mob Vote, and it's features reflect that of one of F3's features, checking how dark an area is and seeing if it can spawn monsters. Previously this was done through checking F3 and checking to see if a number was above or below a certain amount, and it had me thinking. Should players, especially newer ones need to rely on an obscure menu for other information, or maybe should it be implemented into seemingly the perfect Mob to do such a thing. My proposition is for The Glare to reflect the player's Y-Level underground, whether by changing the colors of it's leaves or for them to progressively disappear and reappear as you reach the bottom or top of the world. This would not only be easy to understand, but would make this Mob helpful in figuring out the proper levels to mine for ores and or helping players find their way to the surface relative to the suggested indicators. Even if The Glare looses the Mob vote, this can still be something to keep in mind for down the road when the Mob eventually gets implemented. I hope you'll consider this as it's something that aesthetically fits the theme, and the game. Thank you for your time reading this :)
