I think they should keep the achievements and add advancements.

That sounds like a brilliant idea! Adding on to the idea, maybe the advancements system could be a whole separate system. This would mean that there would be achievements AND there would be advancements. Advancements could give you rewards like Minecoins, free maps, free texture packs, free skin packs and/or free mash-up packs. The reason I thought of that idea was because the ACHIEVEMENTS give you free items and free emotes - so why don't the other prize opportunities go with the advancements?

Taking ideas from the comments, the achievements should be connected to your Microsoft account and could be things such as they are now, or could altogether stay the same, whereas advancements would need to be completed in each new world that you create, such as getting stone tools, then iron and diamond gear, and then harder ones like 'Cover me in debris' and beating the dragon. There could also be one for landing an MLG water bucket or killing the dragon in under three minutes from the dragon spawning.

I mean I signed in so I already have Advancements but the Java one is more cooler!

    I give this idea a 8/10

Honestly, the advancement system doesn't even have to interact with the marketplace at all (like others have suggested).  Instead, they could be a per-world system that could also be tied to their achievement counterparts if the world settings allowed.

That being said (heavy speculation incoming), I understand that there may be complications surrounding the requirements of the achievement systems in the various environments to not conflict or be mirrored in-game.  If that's the case, then there would have to be something else.

My wife doesn't like to play in the realm I made for the family because it has achievements disabled due to cheats being enabled.  She doesn't regularly chase the achievements, but prefers the option to chase them when she does.  We don't use cheats regularly in the realm, though I like the flexibility to restore somebody's gear if they lose everything, switch to spectator mode (since that's now in this version of the game) to take screenshots of my builds, etc., similar to in Java Edition.  The realm is set up (like most all Bedrock worlds) to only allow admins/moderators to change world settings and run commands, but it still seems like the advancement system (like unto Java Edition) is a decent way to have a per-world goal that players can chase.

An option for this feature might be to add a per-world toggle to disable advancements if that's the desired behavior of that world.  Also would need an advancement screen to view that progress for that world.
