In Snapshot 4, the altitude at which snow falls had been raised. According to the patch notes, this was to prevent clashes like jungle trees with snow on top.
This makes sense for warmer biomes, like the jungle, but I think colder biomes, like the taiga, should have their snow heights reverted to 1.17 levels. Because of the new terrain generation, any biome can have mountains, and I think it would be cool for mountains in these colder biomes to be able to have snow at the top. As an example, in the middle of an old growth spruce taiga, you would be able to have old growth spruce taiga mountains tall enough to have snow. I think this would make these biomes more diverse.
