Purpose: The Minecraft swamp has always had a dark depressing feel to it, and rightfully so. However, the grass and water in the swamp are so different in texture and color, that they warrant completely separate blocks and items.
Idea: What if the grass and water blocks in swamps, weren't grass and water. Perhaps change their name and texture, rebranding them completely as "muck" and "murk" for grass and water respectively.
Perhaps making "muck" like Nylium in the nether, a muddy texture to a grass block, which when picked up would revert to a dirt block, like regular grass blocks. As for "murk" this would be water with a permanent brown tinge, maybe when boiled in a furnace could make clean water.
Functionality: This would allow for players to build bases in swamps without it always looking so gloomy; swamp blocks could also be taken out from the swamp for decorating elsewhere. It would also just add more of a swamp vibe, instead of just being a darker plains biome.
