Better befriending system?

I personally do not like the befriending thing with foxes and axolotls. I do have a solution to it though, there should be a thing called respect, it can work with villagers as well. The more you feed an animal the more it likes you, if you hit it,the "respect level" goes down. The higher the respect on an animal, the more it likes you and follows you around. If you go below the normal respect level, they turn hostile, or run away. This is a very smart fix to the non-taming debate. Thank you -Fellow minecrafter

    Make it to where you can befriend mobs hostile mobs too but they would obviously be harder to befriend but it would be cool to have a skeleton friend
