Due to the new 1.18 biome layout, the terrain generation of players' favorite world seeds sees a dramatic change. A way to combat this could be a toggle that would keep the same biome layout and map (it could possibly make features like caves and rivers more pronounced, like in 1.18 generation) and the same layout of features like lakes, but would replace the elevation of hills to fit the style of the new smoother mountain generation.
Plateaus would be replaced with mountainous areas in the height map for generating the world, and areas where there would be extreme hills pre-1.18 would instead have mountain-type biomes. Small forest hills biomes would instead change to smoother hill generation, while large forest hills could be replaced with new mountain-type biomes. The occurrence of mountain-type biomes near to other hills could be similar to how it is with 1.18 generation in areas with hilly height, like how savanna hills now can feature mountains topped with calcite.
