I love Legacy Console Edition:
I think it had a very charming, fun and cozy feeling to it that Bedrock just isn't able to fulfil on consoles, but that's beside my point.
I'm not necessarily suggesting to completely replace Bedrock with a new, updated and current edition of Legacy Edition, as I don't think it would be very easy to update Legacy Console Edition to the current versions and keep the same feeling that makes it so nice.
But, even just showing care and one last bit of support for Legacy Console Edition would be great; maybe a universal re-release of Legacy on all consoles with cross-play available, serving as a definitive edition to classic console Minecraft. Its own separate fork of the game, permanently set in an older version of Legacy. maybe around 1.12? Preferably before 1.13 I'd say.
Just a kind of final definitive version of classic Legacy Console Edition, to stay as is, with a few final touch ups;
- Cross-play between all consoles playing "Legacy Edition; Definitive version" (we know it's feasible..)
- Maybe a realms service? (not quite necessary)
- and the minigame servers of course
of course this would mean a shut down for the servers on the original console editions, but as long as we have this new version, I don't see a problem with that, as this would be almost the same thing.
