Going to the enderdragon

I Think we Can all agree that the end is a bit outdated. A smaller yet leds duscussed Thing i’d like to see added is a longer way to the dragon. When you enter the end you always get spawned inside the main end-island or on an island very few blocks away from it, which in my opinion is a bit boring/anticlimactic. What id like to see is a longer way to the dragon. New items or mobs are not needed just maybe you could spawn on an island a bit further away and you’d have to island hop over there or use enderpearls from the naturally spawning endermen. It helps build up the fight and it’d be much more fun aswell, even though it is a quite simple feature.
