Petrified forest

The petrified forest has trees made of stone and if a wolf steps in one they turn into skeletal wolves which would hunt in packs of up to 4. In the nether you can find petrified forests but have wither skeleton wolves instead. The rivers are filled with skeleton fish. It could have an effect where if a skeletal wolf hits you you get the effect bone sickness which makes you look like a skeleton.
