    In the Java Edition, coral reefs look far more beautiful, because you can see them more clearly from above water, because light travels more distance there. I'd love to be able to see that in the bedrock edition.

    Afaik, in Java Edition blocks only decrease the sky light level by 1, not the block light level. That is the true problem. If it was by block light level, the light would decrease block by block the further down you go
