Simmilar to the "/fill command" this would add the ability to change the biome of an area of an existing world to a different biome, this would solve several problems one of which is that in older worlds from legacy console sometimes biome data along the world edge would become "glitched" leading to jagged biome edges that could be fixed if it were possible to edit biomes, second it would be a great tool for map makers who want to build terrain that does not conform with the biome that the world had as default, right now in vanilla this is impossible to do without third party programmes which are much harder to access as a console player. it would look something like this
/biome <from: x y z> <to: x y z> <biomeName: biome> [gradient int: ]
gradient would determine how many blocks of transition buffer are added between the changed area and the area surrounding the command, with a range probably somewhere around 0-64 blocks away fome the area selected. if left blank default to zero or throw error, if implemented it would probably be possible to ignore the Y axis if it would make it easier to add
