Especially in the context of archeology it would be cool to have world dependent crafting recipes. Therefor 2 new types of items in the game are needed:
Ancient Crafting Pieces:
This items can be found via archeology or as loot in dungeons. They have no direct functionality other than acting as crafting items
Ancient Items:
This items cant be found or cant be dropped by mobs. They are only craftable. And the crafting has a twist: The recipe isn't known for the player at the beginning as the recipe gets randomized for each world. Items of the recipes are on the one hand standard items already in Minecraft and at least one Ancient Crafting Piece per recipe. Ancient items could be weapons, tools, special decoration blocks or stuff like this.
The recipes itself could be found via excavation sites, unique structure loot or villagers (although i dislike the villager idea, as they should be something "lost" and "ancient" and "unknown for all until discovered") ^^
This feature would be cool for the game in my opinion as it adds a new cool and useful mechanic to the planned "archeology" system. Also it gives the player a new exploration purpose and it gives the recipe book a new usage, as the players will likely use it more often for this items.
