Make glass panes thicker

I've always hated glass panes in builds, some people say they add depth, but I think the "depth" that the glass panes add is a little too much, compared to the other thick blocks used as walls in a house. The glass panes are just way too thin, I mean like 2 pixels thick, compared to a 16-pixel thick wall? That's a 2:8 ratio. Isn't that a little much? Maybe make glass panes like half the thickness of a block? I don't know, they just look super ugly on houses currently, and it's all because of how thin they are. I'm not against adding depth to builds, in fact I actually like builds with more depth, but the glass panes are just too much...
