Boat maneuverability

So for Minecrafters who like to build farms which use villagers, this would be extremely useful. All I ask for this is for boats to be able to move on land more effectively. Boats should be able to climb up stairs and go from path blocks up to normal sized blocks. Nothing too major, but I’m sure the Minecraft community would greatly appreciate it.
