When you throw an ender pearl into a surface of a slime block, it should bounce off of it a couple of times before breaking and teleporting you. The bounce direction should depend on the direction and which side of the block you hit.
Let's say the bounce limit is 3, if you threw an ender pearl into a slime block, it would break and teleport you after it touches the surface of a slime block for the third time (it doesn't matter if it's the same slime block or not) .
This could open quite a few possibilities, for example; ender pearl cannons using slime blocks and pistons for long range teleportation, a more robust ender pearl stasis chamber systems, and arcade basketball type machine, but with ender pearls!
Some additional ideas that are similar in nature;
- Honey Blocks interaction:
- When in contact with the vertical side of honey blocks, ender pearls should stick and slide (like items do) for a certain distance before it breaks and teleports you.
- When in contact with the bottom of honey blocks, it should be stuck on it for a few seconds before falling down.
- When in contact with the top of honey blocks, it should have a few seconds of delay before it breaks and teleports you.
- Behaviors can be copied to snow balls and splash potions.
