Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Throwing knives/Shurikerns

Crafting and General ideas

throwing Knives should stack in 16 like snowballs, and should be thrown at a fast pace like snowballs but do a small amount of damage, with knock back, i think they should be crafted with a peace of iron and a stick, this would make four throwing knives.

Game function and use

they would be useful to the game because they would make Minecraft combat more fun. you could use them to knock people of builds and damage mobs from a distance, throwing knives should be only able to travel short distance with out descending, i think they would be most useful for pushing mobs or players away from you.

Enchantments

throwing knives are going to be like arrows in a way, because when they hit someone they disappear, but i think there should be an enchantment that makes them piece through the player or mob, and because of that i think there should be an enchantment like loyalty that makes them come back to you after a few seconds, this would make them very powerful, so you would have to enchant them all separately or you could put a stack of 16 in the anvil or enchantment table.

    I don't think that shurikens or throwing knives should do any knockback. Especially in PvP I feel that this would just be really frustrating and annoying for the player on the receiving end of them. Also, they are a lightweight weapon so I don't think it really makes sense for them to have knockback anyway.
