Stingrays, their drops, and what we can craft with them

Hi, please don't delete my post, I am further expanding on ideas.

 

Stingrays.

I think that adding Stingrays to little coves and having them drop barbs would make the game even more realistic. We could use a stick to stir up the sand under the water causing the stingrays to flee (just like in real life) and, when defeated, they will drop their barbs. If they manage to get you with their one and only barb (like the bees) then you will be poisoned for 10 seconds (like the bees). Once you obtain their barb in your inventory, using 3 barbs and a stick you can create a spear. Spears would be similar to tridents except they are more aerodynamic and can travel further. Additionally, maybe they could be used for spear-fishing.

Stingrays – Neutral, speed of bees, 20% chance of dropping poisoned barb, 30% dropping regular barb, 50% chance of dropping broken, cracked or shattered barb (can be crafted into bone meal)

    Or maybe you could you could use shears to retrieve the barb as shears could use some more uses
