I feel the abyss biome would be a great addition with the new world height increase, it would be a rare occurring biome found in cold oceans that could go down to ‘Y -32’ and have special loot and/or special miniboss. I feel this would be a great idea and it’d be a good idea to make it so that it could override cave generation, making it difficult to exit if you dive deep enough. If this were added it’d probably be a great idea to make it so you need special armor or to use potions to prevent drowning; with this I provide the possibility of drowning quicker the deeper you get. I feel like some other aspects of this abyss could be new neutral or passive behavior mobs or some mythological sea creatures for aggressive mobs and even one that can prevent the player from using items while in the abyss. Relating to my earlier ‘special miniboss’ proposal, i suggest a giant sea serpent! One last feature i suggest is that there should be a special type of mob that would protect the entrance of the abyss such as a special type guardian. I feel this would be a great addition since oceans are a bit too passive and you shouldn’t always just feel safe within it.
