Sadly combining potions is on the Mojang "no" list I've come to find out, a bit of a bummer I've played with a datapack that allows you to mix potions together and the strategy process is fun. I do get Mojang reasoning though, much like you can't just mix medicines and expect them to not interact poorly. Hopefully, they will make a potion sack, or some other trick to carry multiple potions. Or modify bundles to hold  8 or 16 potions, and 3 of the same tool/single stack item, to improve the inventory issues. Given pulling out of bundles is cumbersome I can't see why more space (but no more than 9 slots worth) is an issue for pvp and if kept smaller than a shulker box, bundles certainly doesn't replace what is a much more convenient upgrade.

Maybe, they can add a new block, where we can use potions and ingredients to make potions with multiple effects, instead of stacking the potions. I like the idea of many effects for one potion

Another way to balance out merging potions would be that mixing them allows for "Drawbacks" that occur after buff effects are expired. Say you had Haste and Water breathing, after your 3minutes are up you get slowness for 3minutes, so you then become vulnerable to attacks after some underwater mining. Or Strenght and Regen you get a major drain on Hunger and Poison effects, it would keep you having to strategize especially on use as in a PVP when and what drawback kicks in could be detrimental even with an epic buffing potion. Which could be the catch in survival as well.

I've also pitched "drawbacks" for a cauldron-based early game potion set, using a heat source block under a cauldron instead of blaze powder. This would make the brew stand preferable but also gives a logical way for weaker and mixed potions without a new block, merely a new mechanic.

Fixing Bundles though to store potions in stacks would probably be easier and more accepted by the community though.

I don't see why they are against potion mixing so much. It's so beneficial and actually makes potions usable. Amendments did the system PERFECTLY
