I've been playing for several years and always wanted to be able to craft construction items from ALL of the materials. For example, why can't I craft walls or stairs from Lapis Lazuli? Or obsidian? Or gold? Why can't more materials be crafted into doors? Such as copper or netherite, or even prismarine? There are iron bars but no copper or gold bars. Furthermore, how come I can craft myself netherite armor but not my horse? Why can I make weapons from various materials but a shield can only be wood? I would love to see an update that expands the variety of materials you can use for crafting. I LOVE building, designing and decorating in Minecraft. It's just a shame to have all of these great materials that have such a limited construction/ crafting use. Often times I have ideas but can't make them because the material I would like to use is only available in a block. Please consider doing this. I'm sure I'm not the only creative person that would be overjoyed to see this a reality.
