Calcite 1.18 change ideas.

Back in the older 1.17 snapshots where 1.18 cave generation still existed. Amethyst geodes' outer layer weren't made out of smooth basalt. They were made out of tuff. But then got replaced with smooth basalt. Instead, tuff generated naturally in blobs. in 1.18, calcite now naturally generates as well. But they are still in geodes. I think that they should be removed from geodes because otherwise it makes no sense. Tuff was removed. Calcite should also have a polished variant and a slab and stair variant just like all the other 'ite' blocks. Anyway, if you take this suggestion then you are probably wondering what should the second layer be instead of calcite. That is for you to decide.
