this cave is a place were the end happens. the tar caves are were you gusted it, tar pits and rivers are. One bucked of the tar can be used to make asphalt, you must put in a furnace first so that it can harden. there are some mobs that live in this biome. but you can see the ones that didn't make it in the form of more fossils. this biome well spawn in the negative numbers.
