Hunger for Pets (and all tameable mobs)

    The idea is a bit iffy. What if the user went on a long trip, and by the time they come back the pets are dead?
    Until automatic pet feeders are available, it might be a bit dangerous.

    What if instead of losing health, the more hungry they are, the slower they move?

    Yes, they could do this instead, but that would also make my point worthless. I want them to have hunger bars so that people care for their pet, and just having the animal slow down wouldn't help, as the player would just have them in the same place anyways. Though, how about this. They could slow down, and once they are slow enough to where they literally can't move, they would start losing health very slowly. Maybe they would completely stop moving after being on 0 hunger for maybe 5 Minecraft days?

    And to prevent their pets from dying (if they have a very small amount of pets), they could just bring them with them and feed them every once in a while.

    Also, perhaps on an Axolotl bucket, it would show the hunger bar of the axolotl in the description of it.

    True, but too fast. I like the idea, but make it so that after 5 days they START slowing down, and by day 10 if the player has neglected them , they shall start taking damage.

    Because sometimes if the player is far away, like searching for strong holds, or exploring end cities, they cant come back every few days to feed the pet as they will be stuck in the end.

    Thus I am against the idea of pets dying, atleast until something like pet food bowls/ automatic feeders are created such that the player can make sure the pet will be well fed if you go far away
