Problem: Many things are meant to be difficult in Minecraft, but a few seem more like Punishment than an Impediment. Trying to climb your way out of a ravine or cave, when you've survived a fall or found yourself at the bottom of one, is very dangerous and difficult. But primarily, The End has no real safety to speak of at all. Even Veteran players can succumb to the Void within, losing hours and hours of progress that went into crafting/discovering Gear and Leveling Up. This is not fun. The objective should be to challenge a player, not punish them. A creeper explodes near you, and you die? You can still recover your gear. It only impedes you. You fall into the Void, you lose everything. It creates a stigma to traveling into The End, a place that should be more explorable and fun to traverse, with the right tools.
Idea: A Belay Device/Anchor Point, and a Harness. When using a rope, you could attach it to a Harness, effectively attaching the rope to yourself. Then you could place onto any surface of a block (that could support it, meaning it could fall out of dirt, sand, ect) a Belay Device/Anchor Point, and attach the other end of the Rope to it. Now, if you fall, you will simply hang from this point, able to climb back up instead of dying.
This would be essential gear for exploring and navigating The End, but it could be used in various places throughout the world, such as Caves, Cliffs, and Ravines, and in conjunction with other Minecraft tools, such as Scaffolds.
