In the Java Edition, you could enter a crawl mode by simply placing a trapdoor and allowing it to close on top of you. This would confine you to a 1x1 square. This was handy when making secret airducts around your base which can be used as secret tunnels or ways of transporting baby animals such as pandas; where, if you didn't spawn in a jungle, could have been quite difficult to have brought with you to begin with...
In the Bedrock Edition, there is a parity, of placing a water block (contained on all sides) digging downward and forward, and then placing a sign on the inside of the duct. If the player sprints into the water, they will enter crawl mode.
Upon release of Caves and Cliffs, my version of the Java Edition had stopped working as my GPU is the internal one on my "Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz". When I had joined the Windows edition, I had been upset that this parity was not included.
