It only appears on hard dificulty, the hostile mobs will spawn everywhere, doesn't mather if the place has torches or another type lf ligth, the only ligth that stop them from spawning it's the soul sand torches.
In the eclipse the drop of hostile mobs increase and there is a chance to a mob from drop a piece of moon stone, if you put 4 pieces moon stone together you will get a full moon stone, this looks like a end stone but it glows and has another texture, if you put 8 of these in every piece of armour you have you will now have the ability of double jump (every piece reduces the cooldown 20%)
