Magic staffs come in to Minecraft to add a magical touch to your game (crafting recipe 2 sticks and a gem)! To power your staff you need to find gems, Fire gems spawn in the Nether, ice gems spawn in mountains, sea gems spawn underwater, earth gems spawn in caves, Phantoms drop air gems, Shulkers, Endermites, and Endermen drop mystery gems, when lightning rods get struck enough times, it makes lightning gems, defeating a wither will give you a Nether Star and a power gem, and crafting geodes with redstone gives you a redstone gem, put them together to make a mega gem. Your staff has low durability and needs new gems after the old one runs out of power (except for the mega gem). With each gem, you cast different elemental spells, and with the mega gem, you can cast all of them. And there is still magical stuff, there is a new village, home to the warlocks, who train you to become a wizard, there are 4 types of warlocks, Enchanters, Brewers, Spellcasters, and Dark warlocks. And they also have mortal enemies, witches, who will sometimes raid the village. And you can’t be a wizard without a robe, so there are leather workers who will give you a robe and a hat for 7 emeralds each. There is also a magic bar, the more magic you have, the more powerful the spells you cast. I really like Harry Potter-like magic (I’m not trying to rip off Harry Potter) but minecraft would be interesting with magic.
