Tall and thin Chinese Mountains Biome

In Zhangjiajie a city in China hosts large towering columns of mountains with vegetation on top the area is also known for caves filled with stalactites and stalagmites. I think these mountains could inspire many builds upon them. Search it up :)

It also had inspired Avatar to create beautiful scenes of dense jungle tops and high altitude flora and fauna

    In my opinion Minecraft lacks diversity in biomes, all biomes are - lets say "casual" - and this one could have a look of a mystic or magic one.

    It can have mist during night near ground. You can find there fireflights, catch them in pots to make lampions. There should be many of shallow warm lakes, sometimes bamboo and water lillia, where you can place a lampions and meet frogs. 

    It is an opportunity to add new kinds of flora - smaller and bigger Bonsai trees. When growing as a single it grows in different variations from small to normal scale tree with twisted trunk. Even greater variation when 4 samplings placed together. It could also grow from cliffs' sides. Sometimes we also can find cherry tree.

    New kind of village - chinese styled village. It can have special farms of rice on lakes. Also a good opportunity to find new building such as "Old Temple" or "Fisherman Hat" or bridge between mountain spikes.

    It can have new kind of mountains - similar to those from current savanna, but narrower and stacked one near another. I think of it generally as plains surrounded by spikes coming out near shallow lakes with "Koi" fishes. 

    This biom should contain something like "glowing magical ores" or crystals - red, blue pointing out of cliffs. It drops a crystal that can be placed on blocks. Lets make diamonds, emeralds and new ores 3D, even redstone when single for decorating and making your home magical. 

     

    In my opinion this is a must, lets make Minecraft more magical place together! ^.^

    The Zhangjiajie Mountains are so beautiful. They could really add some diversity to the biome generation we have already. I'm glad you considered the underground too the description fits perfectly into Minecraft's unique system. If I was to add one thing to this it would be a new tree or plant block that grows on the pillar cliffsides Mojang already added a unique tree planting process with the 1.19 update I don't see why not try this too. Perhaps roots that stem all the way down it's sides sprouting new trees along side the stone. Wiki says they have limestone characteristics and other sources state it's a sandstone-quartz mixture, whatever the case i'm sure Mojang will figure it out.

    This is the perfect balance between normal and amplified coupled with Minecraft's relatively new height limit. If this is ever added I hope it's as jaw dropping as I imagine it would be.

    As for building concepts as I could imagine chinese temples on their peaks joint by rope bridges between different pillars or modern housing built within the stone that makes the pillar.
