Most computers these days have a MIDI player, and some have MIDI drivers built in, but how often do we really utilize this? Back in the day, like in DOOM for instance, the music was synthesized by the soundcard on the computer, which gave some computers unique sounds, and the door is wide open now that computers are more powerful than ever, but no one has dared walk through it. I'd love for a way to switch the music to MIDI mode or something and could allow for the midi for the game's soundtrack to be sent to an outside source like your computer's midi player or even DAWs like Ableton or FL Studio so that the player's can use whatever instruments they like. A MIDI output block would be so cool as well, as the player could potentially perform a whole music set in an outside application within Minecraft with their own audience of players in game. Or they could create reactive objects in the real world like lights or fans that can react to things done within the game, the possibilities are really endless.
