As more and more enchantments get added to the game, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find items with a particular set of enchantments. Therefore, I think that there should be a system similar to ancient hunts in apoc that would allow you to increase the likelihood of gear spawning with the enchants you want.
First, numerous types of totems should be added as random drops. Certain types would only spawn in certain levels, just like how you can find longbows at Pumpkin Pastures but not at Creepy Crypt. Each type of totem would apply to a certain category of enchantments (ex totem of power would relate to the enchants critical hit, sharpness, smiting, etc, while a totem of life could be with anima conduit, leeching, and radiance) Some enchantments could be placed into multiple categories. Also, there should be 3 categories of totems, one for melee weapons, one for ranged weapons, and one for armor.
At the start of each mission, you would be able to sacrifice up to 3 totems, each of which would increase the chance of finding the corresponding types of enchantments. Additionally, the more totems of each gear type you put in, the more likely you would be to find that gear type (if I put in 2 armor totems and 1 melee totem, I’d be most likely to find armor, then melee, then ranged gear). This would work with ancient hunts.
There should be a new merchant added that would buy ~10 totems from you in exchange for an enchant point, since ancient hunts use them.
