1.18 nether

so i was just doing an usual playthrough of minecraft, when i make the nether portal, and once i go through it i see that i am in the air aabove a very vast lava lake. im not sure if this is a bug in the new experimental snapshot or just my luck.

  I have noticed that the nether generation in the experimental snapshot for 1.18 is not the same as 1.17. It seems to me that you either get a very restrictive nether with no open spaces or you get an almost empty nether with vast lava lakes and not much else. Im not sure if this is due to the difference in generation in the overworld or if this is just a bug in the experimental version. The nether is definitely way less enjoyable in the 1.18 experimental snapshot and I hope that this is corrected when a official snapshot is put out.
