Cracked stone from lightning

Place a lightning rod on a stony area of land and when lighting strikes it, you get cracked stone. It could be a nice way to give lightning rods more uses and also add another block to use for texturing buildings and things of that nature. It would be a fairly rare block that can only be obtained when thunder hits stone or a lightning rod that is in contact with stone.

  If we are talking about a unique block, then the best option would be fulgurite, from a lightning strike into the sand.
  And a cracked stone (or collapsed into a cobblestone) should not be something rare.
