When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Allow minecart hoppers to feed into barrels (Java and Bedrock)

As we know, rails of any variant can't be placed on top of chests (which is a form of mass storage). However, another form of mass storage that can be used for all types of farms is barrels. Allowing the contents of minecarts with hoppers to be dumped into a barrel would expand the capabilities of what can currently be done in Minecraft. I don't think this would be overpowered as it should already be a part of the game.

    I'd also like to see Hopper Minecarts be able to pull from Barrels or Chest above them, even with a block in between would be useful. It would give another way to make inventory movements that could be aesthetically pleasing, especially if you have made a long rail way to take inventory back to your base from a distal point you wouldn't have to worry about despawning and it would be less expensive than other potential solutions. I would increase the use of the rail system and the hopper Minecart as well.
