Online Multiplayer on Switch After Updating to 1.17 is Impossible

I play Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch, and before 1.17 could join friends world's, Realms, or the 7 public servers with ease. After Updating to 1.17, and more recently 1.17.10, it has become impossible to play online, on either friends world's or on Realms- the game always either pops up the "Unable to connect" screen, gets stuck on "Locating Server" while loading, or, if I'm really lucky and I can join a world, kicks me from it and disconnects my account, requiring me to restart the game. I really love playing online with my friends, and I feel like cross platform multiplayer is some thing that's talked about a lot, so please please please fix connection issues with the Nintendo Switch version of the game! Looking online and talking to friends, I'm not the only one experiencing this.

    Yeah, the same thing is happening to me and my brother. My brother is hosting a server on his switch, and I am no longer able to connect from my PC.

    My nephew playing on the Switch cannot see me online under 'Joinable Cross-Platform Friends' and I can't see him under that either BUT when we search for each other with the 'Find Cross-Platform Friends' button, it shows both of us as being online and it says 'Currently playing Minecraft for Nintendo Switch/PS4'
