Do not add centralized moderation

The future “report” feature and partially implemented ability to ban an account from all multiplayer servers is concerning to me and many other Minecraft players. In Java edition, servers have always had their own moderation and rules. Enforcing a centralized system means that breaking Microsoft rules on one server may get a player banned from ever playing multiplayer again. Such a change would be devastating to the Minecraft multiplayer community, and remove all the freedom that the game represents. Please listen to your users, and don’t implement centralized moderation.

    Why does this not have a ton of votes? This is way more important than any feature, bug-fix or parody issue!

    Every community is different, and Mojang doesn't seem to understand that. Decentralized 3rd party servers are what makes Minecraft what it is today. By adding centralized moderation, you're going to ruin communities of people. Servers will be required to disable online-mode just so they can have their own set of rules, not enforced by Mojang's community policies.

    You're killing the game :(

    Centralized moderation would absolutely kill private servers and LAN servers, which should in no way be controlled by anyone but the players on those servers.

    Either have centralized moderation be an optional features that server owners can opt into (NOT opt out of) or don't add it at all.
