Currently, Dripleaf is technically renewable because you can get it through Wandering Trader trades, but since you can't capture Wandering Traders it's really hard to get a lot of it. Even when Caves and Cliffs Part 2 comes out and we get the Lush Caves, other than Wandering Traders there's no way to obtain it post-generation. Instead of generating Azaleas and grass when bonemealed underwater, moss should generate Dripleaf and seagrass. (It should still spread like normal)
Edit: I now know that large dripleaf is in fact renewable with bonemeal, but small dripleaf is not.
