Better Wood Mechanics

Its always struck me, even more so since the nether update, that while we have loads of different colours of wood, when we make wooden tools the texture is always that of oak. It's not a huge thing, but its just always thrown me a little when I put bright orange wood into a crafting table and make a beige pickaxe. I think it would be cool if a change was implemented similar to the door change we had a while back that added all the different types of doors. Maybe each type of wood could have a small quirk that goes along with the design, like nether wood could have vines wrapping around the tool, and acacia wood could have a sun-damaged effect. I think this is one of those smaller changes that people would enjoy to see implemented, despite not being overly game changing.

    Yeah, it would be nice. Although... that would be a lot of items to add, coding wise (even if all they'd need to do is copy existing item coding).

    It would be useful for Map Makers and Data Pack creators too!
