In the experimental snapshot for 1.18, you changed it to where mobs only spawn in complete darkness. I do really like this idea, but I am concerned about the difficulty being too easy with this change. My wife thought of a great idea, depending at what difficulty you're playing the game at, changes the light level mobs spawn at. (for example, peaceful = no spawning, easy = light level 0, normal = Level 4, Hard = level 7). It would keep the difficulty for the players who want it, but would allow for an easier building experience and exploration experience for the players that would enjoy that.
