Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Magic dust

Magic dust would you be made with different materials for its different types protection dust would be made with obsidian, a diamond or netherite pickaxe, blaze powder, and glowstone dust the pickaxe would use a fair bit of its durability to craft protection dust and then the rest of the different dust types would be crafted using different types of potions such as a lingering potion of slowness, blaze powder, and glow stone dust. You use the different dust types is by placing them down on the floor they will be placed down like redstone dust and then you make a circle? Square? Anyways it needs to connect both sides completely to make something without any parts that aren't just sticking out on their own then it would create a sort of affect around it to indicate that it's working and the dust would start to Glow how the dust affects the surrounding area is up to what type of dust it is (you would not be able to combine dust types to create one area of all of the effects) for example the protection dust within that area attacks cannot pass through where the dust is laid down and mobs that are aggressive to someone and aren't just wandering around the world without a Target won't be able to pass through the dust barrier but if they are locked onto a player then they would not be able to pass the dust but then for the potion effect dust everyone and everything within the dust area gets its potion effect but I thought the potion...     ... here's the rest of the idea sorry it's so long... Of invisibility would instead of giving everyone inside it the effect of invisibility it would make everyone on the outside not be able to see what's inside of the effect but everyone on the inside of the effect be able to see everything on the inside and outside which could allow for some pretty cool things I think how this could work is their vision would be like if everything inside of it was made of air they would just see everything on the opposite side of it and on their side of it.     Certainly, an interesting Idea for an area of effect spells, could allow a player to make buff zones against hostile mobs for combat, or boost for mining. To balance  I would think a time-limit upon activation would be good (as to not negate beacons, and especially for any combat boost), susceptible to water and rain, and maybe some limitation on size. Though the other two limitations and requiring to complete the shape are probably enough. Could be a fun way to to use resources in a new way, grinding to dust, mixing for certain effects, and then getting a certain boosts for a short time.
