Minecraft Rope

Scaffolding in minecraft to go up easily like a cliff or even your house. But what about going down like a ravine or a steep cave? 

There should be a rope in minecraft. It can be placed under a block and clicking repeatedly on the block will extend it downwards (just like scaffolding but it will go downwards). Breaking one will break all the rope below it too and the item will go to the person. It could be craftable or you can make it non- craftable - it will be sold by a wandering trader or an expert level leatherworker villager. It's just a simple thing but it will help a lot to the people who like to explore.
