Spikes in the Ice Spikes biome reach deeper into the ground

Ice Spikes is a unique biome. I think that the characteristic ice structures in the biome should plunge deep into the ground (20 or more blocks). If they reach any caves, they turn surrounding blocks into ice blocks, creating something like an Ice Caves biome, which would look astonishing. The spikes also create smaller icicles on the ground and on the ceiling and replace nearby underground water ponds with ice ponds. The change is important mostly because of the looks, but it makes a great place to build a unique base too. Also the "biome" could resemble beautiful ice caves found in northern countries in the world.
