I think it would be a cool idea to add a new biome, a beach variation that generates in any in-land biome bordering a beach, ocean, river or lake. And because we're in the caves and cliffs generation part of the update, I thought it would be a good opportunity to share this.
In this biome, the terrain rises to Y=83 or more, and then drops steeply, exposing stone and other rocks and minerals, just like a cliff in real life. It'd be a rare biome (it would only generate in 10% of the coasts and shores) and it would extend between 50 and 300 blocks.
I'd like this idea into the game because of all the opportunities to build things on the cliff walls, and also it'd be a beautiful new way to generate boundaries (in my opinion).
It'd be an even better touch if there were waterfalls going down into the water bodies, or stone spikes just like in the "Eroded Badlands" biome, except these are connected to the water bodies' floor.
Temperature: Varies according to the biome they are next to (Plains = 0.8; Taiga = 0.25; etc)
