I think some of the recipes in the game don't really make sense and are needlessly expensive in ressources :
The stairs : This one is the most obvious, when crafting stairs you would use six blocks of basic material (wood, stone...) and you end up with only four stairs of said material. The stonecutter uses one block of material to make one block of stairs, this makes the crafting recipe useless since you are losing two blocks of material when using a crafting table than when using a stonecutter. To make the crafting recipe on par with the stonecutter it should be changed so that when using six blocks of material you obtain six stairs !
The trapdoors : When crafting trapdoors you use six blocks of wood and you only get two trapdoors, this makes trapdoors needlessly expensive and also doesn't make any sense. When crafting a door you use six blocks of wood and get three doors, therefore since a trapdoor is technichally half of a door you should get six trapdoors. This would also be useful for players since most players like using trapdoors as decoration like shelves, shutters, open barrels, which requires way more than two trapdoors.
The fences : The recipe for wooden fences gives you three fences whereas the recipe for nether brick fences gives you six. I think wooden fences should be on par with nether brick fences and therefore give six wooden fences in its recipe. This would make wooden fences less expensive since they require six blocks of wood to make. (2 for sticks + 4)
