Light Level of Hostile Mobs Being 0 is Too Much

    It doesn't completely disable any spawning in any cave, as there are plenty of dark areas mobs can spawn in and travel from, so the caves still have a number of mobs. This cap only reduces it because otherwise it would've created too many entities, hence lag.

    It also helps reduce crafting a plethora of torches and having to spam them all over, even the hard-to-reach places in the massive caves. Using less torches or other similar light sources is beneficial, not overpowered; it saves on resources and time dealing with lighting up dark places.

    This cap also does not affect sky light, it only affects block light, so mobs can still spawn out at nighttime, for instance. And spawners are given a higher light level to be able to prevent spawning.
